Not much has happened development-wise, but a lot in other areas. Turborilla has hired! Read all about it here Smile

Mad Skills Motocross

The development of Mad Skills Motocross have suffered because of other events which I will tell you about further down. Good news is that at least all the backgrounds are in the game now, I used only one of them while playtesting up until now. All the rider's and bike's skins are in as well and it's looking really good.

I have reworked the achievements/rewards system for the fourth time now, because it deserves all that attention. Although the game is very fun in its core, there is nothing to enhance replayability like achievements. And not only replayability but also the ability to grow a community around the game, which I would very much like to happen for Mad Skills Motocross. I think it's the perfect game for a thriving community (especially when internet multiplayer is done).

Turborilla

Turborilla has hired! Yes, that's right. There are now two of us. Two Turborillas Smile

How is that possible, you ask? Well, Turborilla also do contracting. That and Mad Skills Motocross are our two main business areas. We don't do the normal, boring database application contracting, we actually make games. Web games, desktop games, small games, big games, advergames, etc. So we've had quite a few jobs on contract this year.

A few weeks ago we (well, actually only I at the time) landed a big contract which meant Turborilla had to expand to be able to handle all the contracts and also get some work done on MSM.

Exciting times ahead!

Personal

My family have also expanded. I now have a beautiful baby daughter. She was born 6 weeks too early so we spent quite a few weeks on the hospital, and this is what has taken the most of my time away from MSM. There were never any serious problems with her, but when they are that small (1790 grams!) they have to stay in the hospital for monitoring, tube-feeding and sun-bathing (prevents lack of some vitamine). All is well and she has been home for a long time now, it feels like forever actually.
